Enrolment

Enrolment

To enrol a  student at Gisborne Primary School, you will need to live in the designated neighbourhood for our school.
To check your designated neighbourhood school, go to the Find My School website at www.
findmyschool.vic.gov.au
Search by your suburb.  If you are still unsure, please contact us.

Note: the new school Willowbank Primary School located on the south side of Gisborne, has opened in Term 1 of 2022.  New families will need to visit www.findmyschool.vic.gov.au

No students currently enrolled at Gisborne Primary School will be required to re-enrol or change schools due to a zone change. All children have a right to attend their designated neighbourhood school, but families can also choose to seek enrolment at another government school.

If a Prep student already has a sibling attending Gisborne Primary School, they can enrol at Gisborne Primary School. There may also be other exceptional circumstances which mean it is more practical or suitable for a new student to attend Gisborne Primary School rather than the new school even though the student resides in the new zone for the new school.  Decisions will be made on a case by case basis by the Principals associated with each school.  For more information also consult the Dept. Educations Website at Placement Policy

To enroll your child, you will need to:
  • Complete a Student Enrolment Form (below)
  • Provide proof of Age (Birth Certificate);
  • Provide an Australian Childhood Immunisation Register (ACIR) Statement - see link to right about Immunisation and School;
  • Proof of Residency (Rates notice/Utility Bill, etc)
For further information please read our Information Booklet (below) or email the school at: gisborne.ps@education.vic.gov.au or contact the school office on
 Ph: 5428 2022
